We don’t always know what causes hair loss. Sometimes it’s due to a fungal infection, stress, hair pulling, or hormonal imbalances. Hair loss isn’t a rare condition by any means. Over 50 percent of men will have hair loss by the age of 60. In the United States, over 30 million and 20 million men and women suffer from hair loss, respectively.

There are several hair loss treatments available, like medications, HGF, and surgery. Sprays and meds for hair loss aren’t very effective, while surgery can be expensive. HGF, however, is a procedure with a high success rate while being minimally invasive and having almost no side effects.

Our blood consists of several elements in a fluid called plasma. HGF is a person’s plasma containing platelets. We extract a person’s blood, put it in a machine to get the HGF without other blood elements, and then inject it into the scalp.

The most irritating aspect of the procedure for most patients is when their blood is drawn. This is done like any regular blood sampling for a blood test. You’ll feel a simple sting that’ll only last a few seconds. There are almost no side effects associated with HGF.
